With this super moon, Pluto goes retrograde. This brings in possible changes to home and family life. While also bringing in the potential for desire to smooth out and work through any underlying emotional issues.
This Scorpio and Pluto energetic cocktail has a lot of potential to bring a lot of simmering circumstances to the surface. However, what may not be realised, is these ‘circumstances’ are often those we ourselves have been longing to see progress within for some time.
It’s a perfect time for grounding, but also for bathing in the powerful light energy of the moon.
For those in the northern hemisphere, this moon is considered a Super Pink Moon. Not at all to do with the moons colour, but it’s named after moss phlox, a pink wildflower that blooms early in the spring. Thus, signifying the change of the season.
Here in the southern hemisphere, this full moon is known as the Hunter’s Moon and/or the Dying Grass Moon. This is because of the moons proximity to the preparation for the winter season. Many farmers are in the process of ‘burning-off’ the previous seasons crops, in preparation for the next half of the year.
This moon phase is considered to be a super moon, due to the moons orbit being in closest proximity to earth. Therefore, both the moon and signs in influence during this time are heightened.
